Boco IP is delighted to announce that the firm has once again been shortlisted in the Managing IP EMEA Awards. This year, the firm has been nominated in Patent Prosecution category. The Managing IP awards acknowledge IP firms and practitioners with remarkable achievements and development in the past twelve months.

Boco IP awarded as the Best Patent Prosecution Firm of the Year 2020 in Finland

Intellectual Assets Management (IAM) awarded Boco IP the Best Patent Prosecution Firm of the Year 2020 in it’s Global IP Awards Gala last night. We are honored and delighted to receive this award.

IAM Patent 1000: The World’s Leading Patent Professionals 2020 were published last night 29 January 2020 in London. Our Managing Director Karri Leskinen and European Patent Attorneys, Partners Jonna Sahlin and Anu Keinänen were present at the Global IP Awards Gala and gave their comments right after the award. Managing Director Leskinen sent his gratitude and thanks to Boco’s excellent and loyal personnel, to Boco’s loyal customers and partners worldwide as well as to the IAM Award Committee. Karri Leskinen commented also that “this award tells everything where we have aimed at during the years. It sums up the hard work our loyal personnel is ready to do for the customers. It tells also the loyalty of our customers and that in every day we do our best, our utmost for the customers. Boco IP to host Patentopolis BV’s Strategic IP Planning training in Helsinki 28.- 29.1.2020

Boco IP will co-host the popular Strategic IP Planning training together with Patentopolis BV in Helsinki. A new date for the event is 28.- 29. January, 2020.

After the training the participants will come equipped with theoretical and practical insights on proactive and strategic IP management, having been introduced to a complete toolkit (paper model, methodology, online platform) for strategic thinking and support to design plans with a multi-disciplinary approach.  Application of the toolkit is practiced with cases through teamwork sessions and group discussions.

Boco IP recognized as patent prosecution firm of the year in Finland

We are honored to announce that IAM (Intellectual Assets Management) has rewarded Boco IP with the title Patent Prosecution firm of the year in Finland. IAM is a respected international research organization in the IP field.

The Global IP Awards gala dinner was held in London on 29 January 2019 – our Managing Director Karri Leskinen and European Patent Attorneys Jonna Sahlin and Anu Keinänen participated to receive the award. The atmosphere at this international event was warm.

IAM conducts yearly its internationally recognized research among IP practitioners around the world. Karri Leskinen appointed member of the board of AIPPI Finland

Boco IP’s Managing Director, European Patent Attorney Karri Leskinen was appointed member of the board of AIPPI Finland as of 1st January 2019 for a two-year period.

“I’m honored to be appointed member of the board of AIPPI Finland. The development of IP legislation and practices has always been important to me. I have actively participated over 10 years in AIPPI activities and worked in the patent field for over 20 years. Now I have the opportunity to work with colleagues I greatly appreciate on these subjects. I hope, as well, that in my new task I can contribute to co-operation in the Finnish IPR industry,” says Karri.

AIPPI, the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (Association Internationale pour la Protection de la Propriété Intellectuelle), is the world’s leading international organization dedicated to the development and improvement of laws for the protection of intellectual property. AIPPI is a politically neutral, non-profit organization, based in Switzerland. The organization has over 9000 members in more than 125 countries.

Committee work aiming to international harmonization is one of AIPPI’s core functions: international as well as national laws and procedures are discussed. In addition to acting as a member of the board of AIPPI Finland Karri is also a member of AIPPI’s international Standing Committee discussing co-operation with IP offices in communications practices and procedures.

The global AIPPI congress organized annually gathers hundreds of IP professionals to deal with questions related to international harmonization and making resolutions on them. National groups, such as AIPPI Finland, lay the ground for the decisions and recommendations of the organization. They report on current issues, of which the summaries are discussed and accepted in AIPPI meetings.

LuontoPortti Awarded with Quality Innovation Award 2009

This year’s quality innovation award has been given to our client LuontoPortti. The award is issued by Laatukeskus Excellence Finland and LuontoPortti was awarded in the series for micro companies. The gala event took place on 12 November 2009 in Kalastajatorppa. The President of Finland Tarja Halonen presented the award to LuontoPortti’s managing director, producer Eija Lehmuskallio and photographer, director Jouko Lehmuskallio.

The innovative network service of LuontoPortti (www.luontoportti.fi) makes it easy for users to identify species found in the Finnish nature. The identification service includes animals, plants as well as other nature-related elements.
