The targeted development of intangible assets can give a company a competitive advantage and protection, as well as an increase in value. The goal of an IP strategy is to cover all aspects of the company’s intangible assets and integrate their management into the business strategy.
The service we offer is based on the Design IP Strategy DIPS® by Patentopolis method and tool developed by the Dutch Patentopolis B.V. Boco IP is an accredited DIPS® by Patentopolis consultant.
In the Design IP Strategy project, we create an IP strategy based on the company's own business plan and goals. In addition, we take into account the company's operating environment, vision and the content of the IP portfolio.
Targeting strategy work
In the second stage of the process, the goals and plans of one's own business and the operating environment with competitors are reviewed. These reviews are carried out from three different perspectives: (i) Market Barrier perspective, which seeks to give the strongest possible exclusivity to its own products and services, (ii) Exchange perspective, which seeks to achieve a strong position through cooperation and joint projects / products, and (iii) Profit which is a perspective that considers increasing revenue through licensing.
Targeting strategy work. Review and analysis of the operating environment
The third stage of the process will focus on evaluating the company’s own IP portfolio, taking into account the three aspects outlined above, and will begin to consider the target state as time allows.
The workshop will review the target state for each perspective, compare it to the current state of previous workshops, and consider the necessary measures to secure and strengthen the company’s business
Strategy, action plan and budget
Finally, we will compile the previous steps into an IP strategy, including an action plan and a budget estimate.
