Our CEO Karri Leskinen (M.Sc.) and Patent Attorneys Tove Mattsson (M.Sc.) and Tomi Salter (M.Sc.) have been qualified as European Patent Attorneys in July 2015 after having successfully passing the European Qualifying Examination (EQE).
For the last 8 years CEO Karri Leskinen has focused to lead Boco IP and at the same time actively planning and implementing client’s IPR strategies. During the last few years there has also been time for studying and therefore it was now possible to finish the EQE-qualification. Karri still handles his clients’ patent applications both nationally and internationally in the field of chemistry, especially in food and process industries. In addition he gives lectures, acts as an expert in patent litigation cases, gives statements and advises on patent rights in general. He has worked as Patent Attorney for over 15 years.
Patent Attorney Tove Mattsson handles the patenting of inventions related in the fields of electronics, electrics, mechanics as well as software technology and ICT both nationally and internationally. She is a Registered Patent Attorney in Finland and now also European Patent Attorney. Tove has over 10 years’ experience in the patenting field.
Patent Attorney Tomi Salter handles patenting of mechanical inventions. In addition, his assignments include preparing utility model applications, handling invalidation proceedings of utility model registrations, and conducting novelty and database searches. Tomi has worked in the patenting field since 2010. He acts as a Registered Patent Attorney in Finland and is now also European Patent Attorney.

Boco IP receives recognition in international patent firm survey
The respected Managing Intellectual Property (MIP) survey for the year 2015 has appointed Boco IP to tier 1 for patent prosecution and to tier 2 for trademark & copyright in Finland.
A special mention in the survey was given to Patent Counsellor Pia Hjelt, Managing Director Karri Leskinen and IP Lawyer Peter Åkerlund, which were mentioned by their colleagues.
